Chelsea to be humbled at home and Haaland to pile misery onto Blades?
Will Haaland and City put pressure on Sheffield? Read all of our thoughts below!
Gameweek 3 Preview
Something slightly different this week, as instead of just a review of the Premier League, we are making a preview to each game this week as well. This will be released at 3pm each Friday before the game week. The best part? The preview is a subscriber exclusive! It will be filled with our insight of the weekends fixtures, as well as major talking points. We will also talk FPL tactics and potential transfers. Who will risk an early wildcard?
First win on Friday for Poch?
What do we reckon? Have Chelsea spent enough money to beat Luton at the bridge. We say just about. Sterling was on fire at the weekend, albeit on the losing side but he looks like he could do some serious damage with things going his way. Jackson has also looked dangerous for Chelsea but with no goal contributions to show for it. He reminds us of Darwin Nunez last season in a way, exceptional movement, not clinical. We have no doubt that goals are coming for the Chelsea Number 9.
Nicolas Jackson 1+ shot on target - 1/1 on Paddy Power

We start on Saturday with Bournemouth at home to Spurs in the early kick off. This has the potential to live up to Ghandi’s wise words, ‘Never back the early kick off’. Tottenham, however, do look strong and comfortably dismantled Man United last week. Maddison will be looking for his first goal and can Bissouma carry Tottenham again?
Tottenham Hotspur handicap (-1) - 23/10 on Ladbrokes and Coral
Some intriguing 3pm games to dive into, as Arsenal and Manchester United should both be winning at home to Fulham and Forest. We’d expect Arsenal to win comfortably at the Emirates as Fulham are without Tim Ream and Brentford brushing them aside last week.

I think you’d be able to forgive us if we said we had our reservations about Manchester United. Nottingham Forest look lively up top with Awoniyi and a newsletter one to watch, MGW. They can cause United problems. The Red Devils should be winning at the Theatre of Dreams, but do not be surprised if Forest are coming back to Nottingham with something next week.
Bruno Fernandes 2+ fouls - 17/10 on Paddy Power
First manager to be sacked race heating up!
Dyche and O’Neill are struggling. Excluding the newly promoted teams, Everton and Wolves are the only two teams without a point after round 2. This game is the perfect chance for one of these two to get their season started. Who will prevail at 3pm Saturday in a clash of the titans. Nobody will. It will probably be a 0-0 draw.

Brentford hosting Palace is an interesting game with both sides looking like strong mid-table candidates. Eze vs Mbuemo? One for the ages. Two 6.5million midfielders, who do you choose in your FPL? Or have both. Eze looks like a catalyst for Palace but has no returns as of yet. Mbuemo owners will be happy, converting penalties for fun and seemingly filling the shoes of Ivan Toney.
Both teams to score YES - 9/10 on Paddy Power
De Zerbi and Co to remain at the Summit?
Brighton have looked incredible this season, even without the likes of Caicedo and MacAllister, who have both got off to rocky starts at their new clubs. It’s looking like it was Brighton making them look good, and not the other way around. Why are we shocked? Cucurella left for big money, and has struggled. You would be forgiven for forgetting that he ever played for them as Estupinan is more of a cert than Haaland is in most people’s FPL. We keep underestimating Brighton, but they always replace their players.
West Ham visit the Amex in the evening kick off and they will be looking for another Smash and Grab one might say. That’s harsh, but Chelsea dominated West Ham with 76% possession and we believe Brighton might do the same. Can Antonio come up with the goods? And, more importantly, if anyone knows what bets Paqueta has on, drop us an email! Jokes aside, he was very very good against Chelsea, West Ham need more of that.
Brighton handicap (-1) - 13/10 on Paddy Power
Burnley to spoil Villa’s start to the season?
On Sunday Aston Villa will travel up north to Turf Moore in a big clash. Burnley are just coming off of a week’s rest, but will this hinder them or help them out? Just 4 days ago Villa dismantled Hibernian 5-0 in their Conference League Playoff round. Will they be ready to go again at the hostile Turf Moore or will their players lack in energy? We think that this could be quite a good game with Aston Villa coming off of their short turn around in the week.
Sheffield United will welcome Manchester City to Bramall Lane; the hosts will be looking to get some points on the board. Unfortunately we can only see this fixture going one way. Erling Haaland has had a quiet start to the season (we know he bagged two against Burnley in the opening week but this is Haaland we are talking about). We can not see John Egan pocketing Haaland for the duration of this game unless he turns into prime Maldini.
Haaland to score - 21/10 on Paddy Power

Game of the week in Newcastle?
In the final fixture of this very northern instalment of Super Sunday we are off to Newcastle vs Liverpool. Possibly the best fixture of all weekend. What will we see from Jason Tindall’s magpies? Oh sorry we mean Eddie Howe! Despite their loss last week to Manchester City they weren’t actually that bad. We think that this game could define either team’s season even though it is very early days.
This is a hard one to predict, very hard in fact. Liverpool have made their signings and we feel that if Endo starts then he could be looking at making a couple of fouls.
Wataru Endo 2+ fouls - 10/11 on Paddy Power
With all of these fancies we are not saying that these are dead certain. We cannot guarantee football and it is a very unpredictable game. Please only bet if you are 18+ and you are fine with potentially losing what you have staked. Let’s keep it fun!
