Newcastle travel to Brighton and an Old Rivalry in London

Read our thoughts and fancies for the upcoming weekend of football!

Gameweek 4 Preview

Another subscriber exclusive! Last week we were on a roll! Landing 5 of the 8 fancies we had talked about. If you would have placed £10 at the odds we had mentioned you would have earned £60. Can we do one better this week and make it 6? We will only ever give fancies on the things that we are confident on happening and would place our own money on.

For context, a ‘**’ signifies you should only place the bet if the player is starting just to avoid any heartbreak!

Friday Night Lights at Kenilworth Road

It’s finally here. Luton Town are now able to host Premier League football at Kenilworth Road! They will be welcoming West Ham on Friday night. West Ham come into the game having just beaten Brighton away from home convincingly. They are one of the inform teams in the Premier League having racked up 7 points out of 9. Luton on the other hand have failed to win either of their first two games. We could see West Ham extend their streak and break Luton Town’s fan’s hearts at their homecoming or will we be shocked as this unpredictable season continues.

Both teams have looked defensively fragile, with there being over 2.5 goals in Luton’s last 3 games and West Ham’s last 2. We think that this game will follow suit. One of the men inform is Jarrod Bowen, we think that this offer below is too good to miss out on.

Saturday

To kickstart our Saturday we are off to Sheffield as they welcome Everton. Both teams are in need of a win to kickstart their Premier League campaigns. This is a hard game to predict as Everton have failed to score in their first three Premier League games this season; Sheffield United on the other hand have looked defensively weak. This game could either be an electric fixture or it could be a damp squib!

New signing Beto played 45 minutes of football during the Carabao Cup game this week. In those 45 minutes he racked up 4 shots; we think that if he starts he will have at least 3 shots. You do have to take into consideration who they were playing, bottom of league 2!

Beto to have 3 or more shots - 11/10 on Paddy Power **

Brentford play Bournemouth in one of the 3PM kick offs this weekend. The Bees have experienced a mixed bag in the Premier League this season getting 5 points from their opening 3 games. They still are yet to lose in this campaign, and we don’t think this will change this weekend. With Mbuemo shooting a blank in FPL last week, can he bounce back with a goal?

Manchester City host Fulham in what can only be seen as a home win. This is Pep Guardiola’s last game out and his team will be hungry to prove a point. Although they didn’t lose at Bramall Lane, their performance was a shell of what they are capable of. Fulham will be buzzing with their last minute point at the Emirates. However, it does not get any easier for them. Adama Traore has caused City problems before, albeit in a Wolves shirt, and could he produce something similar again?

Chelsea welcome Nottingham Forest to Stamford Bridge in one of the 3PM kick offs. Could Taiwo Anwoniyi add to his goal tally? The Nigerian is averaging a goal a game so far this campaign and is joint top scorer so far. Chelsea have proven their ability to score and apply lots of pressure to teams, we think that this will be where Chelsea finally show their potential. Enzo has been very good going forward this year, we think he will have a shot on target in the game.

Enzo Fernandez 1+ Shot on Target - 7/5 on Paddy Power

The last of the 3PM games involves Burnley and Tottenham. Tottenham have played really well under new manager Ange Postecoglou and we can not see that changing. However Burnley are a very good team having had a tough first two games. We can see Burnley enjoying a bit of possession this game, Bournemouth in their game last week against Tottenham had 43% possession. This led to Yves Bissouma racking up 4 tackles in the game. In the first 3 games he has had 4,5 and 3 tackles respectively and we think he will do it again.

Yves Bissouma 3+ tackles - 1/1 on LadBrokes **

The later game will pip Eddie Howe’s Newcastle against Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton. The game is going to be hard fought with both teams coming off of embarrassing loses; Brighton were humbled by the Hammers and Newcastle lost to 10 man Liverpool. Both teams can score we know that with 4 out of their 5 last matches against each other seeing both teams score. However we do not think the pricing is good enough to take a punt here, so once again no fancies from us for this fixture. However we are intrigued to see how it pans out!

Super Sunday

This Super Sunday comes with some big games. We start off with arguably the best of the lot with Crystal Palace hosting Wolves. In all seriousness, this has the potential to be a very close run game. On paper, Palace look the better side, coupled with home advantage they should win. However, Wolves need a win and Palace are not capable of blowing anyone out of the water. This will be a scrappy game and we think it will end in a low score draw.

Crystal Palace to have 17+ shots - 11/10 on Paddy Power

The 16:30 games on Sunday are the stuff of dreams. Liverpool hosting an in-form Aston Villa and one of the greatest rivalries in English history, Arsenal vs Manchester United. Unfortunately, only the game at the Emirates is televised, but what a treat that will be.

Before we dive into that, let’s take a look at Liverpool and Villa. The Reds have just come off the back of a fantastic victory at St. James’ Park. They showed real character to come from behind with 10 men. Darwin Nunez the catalyst. The question is, has he earned himself a start? Surely.

The Villains aren’t doing too badly either with convincing wins against Everton and Burnley to put that heavy opening defeat behind them. It shows that Emery and his men are no pushover. Liverpool should fancy themselves against most when they play at Anfield, but we could see Villa taking at least a point back to Birmingham.

Allison to make 3 or more saves - 6/4 on Paddy Power **

The main event. Arsenal and Manchester United have been going at it for decades at the top level. They lock horns again on Sunday, in what promises to be another classic.

Arsenal will go into this as favourites, but both teams look like they are far from where their managers want them to be.

Bruno Fernandes to be shown a card - 17/10 on Paddy Power **

Here’s one of the winners we had last week, and here is hoping to many more!

Transfer Talk

Fulham’s saviour at the weekend is under a lot of interest. Particularly from Bayern Munich. Palhinha wants the move, but Fulham won’t let him sign for them this window unless they can find a replacement.

In the most bizarre move this Summer, Ansu Fati is set to join Brighton on loan from European giants Barcelona.

Dean Henderson has signed for Crystal Palace.

Wolves have sold Matheus Nunes to Manchester City for a deal worth £53 milllion.

Aston Villa are edging closer to signing Clement Lenglet from Barcelona.

Liverpool have reach out to Bayern Munich to try and sign Dutch international Ryan Gravenberch. The player is keen on the idea of playing for the Reds.

Wolves have signed Enso Gonzalez from Paraguayan side Libertad.

Manchester United have signed Sergio Reguillon on loan as cover for the injured Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

They have also finally got over the line with the Sofyan Amrabat deal too. The loan deal includes a buy clause for around £23 million.

Brentford are looking at bringing Neal Maupay on loan with a buy option from Everton.

Brennan Johnson has joined Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent contract worth in excess of £45 million.

Please remember to keep your betting healthy and sensible. We only want to have a little bit of fun!
